A Foundation of Experience in Sustainable and Shared Mobility
With nearly 20 years of experience in the sustainable and shared mobility sector through my work with Mpact, I have built a strong foundation of expertise. My background includes a range of national and international projects, many of which focus on increasing inclusivity and improving mobility in rural areas.
Collaborations on Carpooling and Car-Sharing Policies
My work has fostered collaborations on carpooling initiatives with companies and governments, and I have played an active role in developing car-sharing policies in partnership with cities and regions, notably contributing to the Cambio car-sharing system.
Pioneering Mobility Hubs and Conferences
I was closely involved in launching 'mobility hubs' in Flanders and co-founded the innovative conference, Shared Mobility Rocks, which leads the way in exploring shared mobility solutions. Additionally, my experience includes setting up volunteer-based transport services for seniors, a project developed in cooperation with citizen initiatives and taxi services.
Strategic Roles in Key Mobility Organisations
My mandates with organisations such as Netwerk Duurzame Mobiliteit, Traject, Mobipunt vzw, UITP, and Olympus Mobility have deepened my understanding of sustainable mobility strategies. These roles enable me to connect economic and operational knowledge to actionable policies, always with attention to social impact.
A Global Network of Expertise for Tailored Solutions
As a consultant in sustainable, shared mobility, I’m backed by a robust network of local and international experts. With deep insights into areas like energy poverty, behavioural change, urban mobility solutions, and digital strategies, I can combine my vision with local and complementary expertise.
Through partnerships and projects across multiple countries and continents, I am equipped to provide tailored solutions that meet the distinct needs and challenges of each region. Together, we’re taking meaningful steps towards a fair and future-ready mobility system.
I graduated from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel with a degree in Social and Cultural Work, specializing in leisure studies at the Faculty of Psychology and Education. Throughout my studies, I focused on how to support individual and group growth from a variety of perspectives.
My final thesis was a research project on the educational aspects of eco-labels in sustainable tourism—where I explored how sustainability and education can be intertwined to create lasting impact in the tourism industry.
This academic journey fueled my passion for creating socially responsible and sustainable systems, both locally and globally.
Outside of my professional life, I’m deeply committed to my community. I actively collaborate with schools on traffic safety initiatives and dedicate my time to volunteering at my children’s rowing club and a local youth organisation. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the power of small actions to create lasting change.
After all, real impact begins with taking the first step—and I believe we can all make a difference, one local initiative at a time.
Travel is one of my greatest passions. I love discovering new places and cultures, and connecting with locals through language. I am a Dutch speaker. Professionally, I express myself fluently in French and English. Over the years, I’ve learned Swedish, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish to enhance these connections and dive deeper into the places I visit. My passion for travel is not just about exploration—it’s about understanding people, their stories, and what makes them unique.
Because the world isn’t just about seeing new destinations, it’s about embracing new perspectives along the way.
